Aims and Scope

The Journal of Health Services and Population Research aims to advance knowledge on healthcare delivery, population health, and health systems performance by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research that integrates health services research with population-based and epidemiological studies. The journal seeks to foster innovation in areas such as healthcare access, quality of care, health policy, health economics, and health equity, while encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration across public health, medicine, sociology, economics, and data science. By supporting the development of evidence-based policies, health system interventions, and population-level strategies, the journal provides a platform for research that improves health outcomes, optimizes healthcare delivery, and reduces disparities across diverse populations. Emphasis is placed on translational and policy-relevant research that informs decision-making at local, national, and global levels. Its open-access model ensures broad dissemination and accessibility, enabling researchers, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide to benefit from its findings.

Its scope includes health services research, population health, epidemiology, health policy analysis, health economics, and healthcare quality improvement. The journal also highlights interdisciplinary studies in global health, health informatics, social determinants of health, and implementation science, fostering advancements in both theoretical understanding and practical application of population-based health strategies.
